From food truck to store front, Barb Batiste is the chef and owner of B Sweet Catering. Her delectable desserts range from cookies to cakes and her infamous bread puddings. The ingredients are of the highest quality and incorporate some of her Filipina heritage. Fruits are purchased at the local farmers market to deliver freshness and rawness to her desserts. Bread pudding flavors change weekly, although there are a few exceptions. Take for instance the salted caramel: sweet and gooey chunks of sweet cake drizzled with caramel hit with a hint of saltiness.

"Being Good" and "Being Bad" are the two sizes available for bread puddings. "Being Good" is a decent size for one, but when you just want to indulge, you can order the "Being Bad." And, if you thought "Being Bad" wasn't enough, a scoop of ice cream provided by Thrifty's is an extra charge, but it makes your bread pudding taste that much better (but that's because I'm a piglet).

The menu (changes regularly)

The sizes

S'mores Bread Pudding ($4.00): This is an extremely decadent chocolate dessert. The rich chocolate cake is drizzled with chocolate sauce while bits of marshmallow and graham cracker is layered into the bread pudding. I could only have a few bites without having something else (milk or water) to wash it down.

Salted Caramel Bread Pudding with Thrifty Ice Cream ($4.00 + $1.00 for the scoop): My favorite dish. This is my favorite flavor out of the majority available. Its rich, buttery flavor is enhanced with the salt from the caramel. This is a perfect combination with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Birthday Cake Bread Pudding ($4.00): This was my least favorite flavor. The bread pudding was slightly soggy and the frosting just melted with the warm bread pudding. The taste was great, but the texture did not sit well with my palate.

Sluttiest Brownie ($6.00): This brownie contains 5 layers of chocolate chip cookie, Oreo cookie, graham cracker, marshmallow and brownie. It is worth every penny. Order this if you are not into bread puddings.

Overall, B Sweet Dessert Bar is delicious, fast and easy. It's a no frills and no pretentiousness kind of place. The store front is fairly small and there are no seats available indoors (however, you can find outdoor benches near the entrance). Leftovers are just as good if you can't finish the bread puddings. Simply pop the leftover bread pudding in the microwave for 20-30 seconds and you have warm goodness all over again. If you don't want a complicated dessert and simply want something good and delightful, B Sweet Dessert Bar is the place to go. And don't worry if you can't get to the store. B Sweet bread puddings will be available at select Target stores coming soon. Word of advice: Don't order the ice cream with your bread pudding if you plan on saving it for future use.
